Azimuth starts with a thought; a contemplation of our place on this planet; a mathematical term which defines the arc of a horizon from a reference point.

But more importantly, Azimuth represents a cerebral pursuit - a reflection of Time and Space as determined by the word’s Arabic roots, which translates to mean ‘route taken by a traveller’. It is through this synergy of science and philosophy that the Azimuth collection is conceived.

A visionary virtuoso in innovative watchmaking bolstered by time-honoured horological master craft, Azimuth is an inimitable force to be reckoned with in the elite world of haute horlogerie.

As it eschews the obvious and unimaginative, Azimuth boldly brandishes its inventive independent spirit, blazing its own trail with an exceptional focus in realising avant-garde timepieces via a perfect balance of cutting-edge technology and traditional watchmaking knowhow.

In Azimuth, creativity has no limits- our designers are free to dream, and translating dreams into reality is a daily affair in our design department. Strictly mechanical and resolutely progressive, each Azimuth timekeeper is meticulously modified and assembled in its manufactory in Neuchatel, Switzerland.

Tucked away in the picturesque town of Neuchâtel, Switzerland our workshop is where imagination takes form.

It houses many precision and micro engineering industries, which have accrued a great wealth of experience in innovation and precision works. This combination of expertise has contributed to its reputation as the hub of fine watchmaking.

Our dedicated designers conceptualise every Azimuth timepiece from the drawing board, ensuring every specification has been thoroughly thought through; from the construction of the case to the fine details of the dial, right down to the minute details of every screw.

From our first sketch, Azimuth watches have always been about pushing limits. We combine timeless craftsmanship with whimsical designs, resulting in pieces that stand out.

As Giuseppe, our designer, says: "We interpret time differently, using age-old techniques paired with fresh creativity to make every watch distinctly Azimuth." Azimuth is more than a watch—it’s a statement.

The hand-drawn concepts are transformed into technical drawings with computer-aided design before prototyping. At each stage, the development process is reviewed and improved by our engineers to ensure consistency in performance before production.

THE VISIONARIES

CHRIS LONG.png

CHRIS LONG

Christopher Long is the visionary leader of Azimuth, and he powers the team forward with his constant desire to break boundaries. Since a young age, his passion for timepieces pushed him into the fascinating world of horology, and he has never looked back since.

Combined with his training in mechanical engineering, Christopher is highly adept at understanding the intricacies of watchmaking and movements, further equipping him with the space to think beyond the conventional – in fact, many of his designs such as Mr. Roboto and the SP-1 Spaceship were inspired by childhood fantasies, an approach that other watch houses seldom consider.

His role as Chief Product Visionary sees him as the main navigator of a brand that champions the avant-garde and quirky spirit.

Together with a dedicated watch development team, Picchi drives the innovation arm and technological progressions in the field of complications and watch design, always defying technological limits through the in-house development of Azimuth’s complication and semi-complication modules.

Under the chief technical direction of Swiss watchmaker Giuseppe Picchi, a graduate of the La Chaux de Fonds Technical College with more than 30 years of watchmaking experience, Azimuth’s collections meet Earth with unique design codes powered by strong technical prowess.
